Thursday class or Friday class/Japanese Course: Spring Dishes for Picnics and Lunch Boxes

Japanese Course: Spring Dishes for Picnics and Lunch Boxes

Course Description: Learn Japanese cooking in a professional studio with Michiko Matsuda, an experienced Japanese cooking teacher.  This 2-part course offers 2 classes focused on Japanese recipes you can pack in a bento for picnics during Cherry blossom season or for lunch boxes.  Learn how to fry chicken, cook a Japanese omelette using an omelette pan, make onigiri, roll 3 different kinds of sushi rolls, cook a clear soup stock, and make green tea ice cream.  Recipes will be provided, so you can recreate these stylish and easy dishes at home.  Lunch is included, and everyone will get to take home a bamboo bento box.

Class dates and Menus:

Class 1 Bento Boxes for Cherry Blossom picnics and lunch boxes menu: Karage (fried chicken), tamago yaki (omelette), spinach maki roll, and umeboshi onigiri.

Class 2 Spring Sushi Rolls Menu: 3 different kids of sushi rolls, spring clear soup with clams, pickled ginger, and green tea ice cream.

Dates:

This 2-class course will be offered on 2 different dates (Thursdays in March and April or Fridays in March and April):

Thursday Dates: Thursday, March 9 and April 27, 2017

Friday Dates: Friday, March 3 and April 28,2017

Time: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm

Max students: 6

Course fee for 2 classes: ¥16,000 (lunch is included)
