Tuesday, November 28, 2017 and Tuesday, December 12, 2017 Japanese Course: Easy Japanese Family Cooking

Course Description: This course focuses on Japanese family home cooking recipes using ingredients you can easily find in local grocery stores. Learn how to make Japanese hamburger, delicious ponzu sauce, a healthy and refreshing salad with sesame sauce, miso soup, popular tonkatsu, (fried pork), pork and vegetable soup, and asazuke (method of quickly pickling vegetables). Recipes will be provided, so you can recreate these stylish and easy Japanese dishes at home. Lunch is included.

Class dates and Menus:
Class 1 November Menu: Japanese hamburger with daikon oroshi (ground daikon) and ponzu sauce, cucumber and leek salad with sesame sauce (kuri goma ae) , miso soup with tofu and mushrooms (nameko tofu miso shiru), and rice
Class 2 December Menu: Tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet), tonjiru (pork and vegetable soup), pickled cabbage and cucumber (asazuke), and rice
